Heathly Eating Info

Dear Parents / Carers,

 

Just a few reminders around what food and drink can be brought into school.

 

All children should have a named water bottle in school every day (Not Juice).

 

Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 children are offered a free piece of fruit at break time each day. Year 3 & Year 4 children can bring in a snack for breaktime but it should be limited to- fruit, bread sticks or plain crackers. Crisps, biscuits, dipper pots etc are not allowed. (This is also applicable to Rec, Year 1 & Year 2 if bringing in an alternative snack).

 

If your child brings a packed lunch to school please limit processed foods, sweets, chocolate and drinks that have large amounts of salt, fat and sugar. Please consider school dinners which are healthy and well balanced. School dinners are free to Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 children, and cost £11.00 per week for Year 3 and Year 4 children unless entitled to Free School Meals.
