Free School Meals

Dear Parents / Carers,

Entitlement to Free School Meals is quite confusing because all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 receive a free school meal, however entitlement to 'benefit related free school meals' means that your child may also be entitled to other benefits such as free milk, subsidised trips and swimming lessons. School receives additional funding for all children entitled to 'benefit related free school meals' which is spent on providing additional support to children. It is therefore very important that if you are claiming any of the benefits listed below that you apply for 'benefit related free school meals'. Even if the claim for benefits is temporary due to the current Covid situation you will still be able to claim the free school meals for your child, this does not stop once you stop receiving the benefit!

This is the link to follow if you think you may be entitled to apply: Benefit Related Free School Meal Application
